How melXpression began...

melXpression started as a dream job for owner, Melinda, who has been beading now for over 10 years. She began beading as teenage using cheap, plastic beads and slowly built up her collection. From a rather plain, plastic start, Melinda has experience with Polymer Clay, Resin, Glass and Crystal beading just to name a few. Her earlier days saw her patience even allow her to dabble in complex seed-beading designs.

Over the years, Melinda has learnt and mastered numerous other arts and crafts such as scrapbooking, stamping, folk art, paper tole, embroidery, patchwork quilting, candle and card making. These days, she finds herself focusing on both beading and scrapbooking. Since the demand for her designer Jewellery pieces increased dramatically in the past year, she has extended her clientel from family and friends to include people from all over the world including England and the USA.

"So, what's my secret? As with all my beading, all my work is done to the specifications of the customer, with just my professional input to ensure it's something that will be cherished forever. That and of course a hint of melXpression!"

Today, Melinda is kept busy working full time, hosting private and corporate jewellery showcases as well as continuing to hand making one-off pieces for their 'special day'. Her latest addition to her belt is the online shop - where you'll find an array of beading supplies to help inspire you! Melinda only sells products which she has used in the past and recommends personally.
